Buffie in the nesting box

I got 12 barred rocks last November for my laying flock, and they do lay very consistently; however their eggs are considerably smaller than the Buff Orpingtons who are still my favorite layers.

The Grayson County Master Gardeners put in the landscape at the Van Alstyne Habitat for Humanity house this morning. Dwarf yaupon shrubs, a red siren crape myrtle, and yellow lantana are all beautiful and low maintenance. (i'm the shorty in red between the tall Ken and Richard)
